Laredo

Another famous case was the of the incident in Laredo Texas, which for many years was confused with the Aztec crash.

The main source of information came from Todd Zechel, of Ground Saucer Watch, who has obtained many important UFO related documents from the Government under the FOIA. Zechal obtained his information from an anonymous air force technician who was based at Carswell AFB.

The source claims that on 7th July 1948, he had been involved in cordoning off an area near a town of Laredo. He claimed that a 90ft disc had impacted at the area and was recovered.

Further supportive evidence came form various sources. Leonard Stringfield learnt from other witnesses that a hairless 4ft entity which had died had been recovered. A U.S Naval officer claims that he witnessed the wreckage being loaded onto trucks at the sight.

Also radar operators and pilots witnessed the object as it flew over Albuquerque at an estimated speed of 2,000mph.

Years later a photo was released of the dead 'alien', however, this was quickly proved as a hoax because the photo depicted that of a dead human pilot severely burned. Unfortunately the hoaxes didn't realise that the photo also contained the dead mans sunglasses!.

This incident is now widely thought to be a case of mistaken identity. Government papers since released indicate that the Air Force were experimenting with modified Nazi V-2 Rockets. The crash is thought to of been one of these crashing by mistake with the 'alien' being a monkey.
